A new pointwise estimate for intermediate derivative and the Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality
We prove a new pointwise estimate for the first derivative using the a new kind of sparse domination technique known from harmonic analysis. As a corollary we obtain the optimal Gagliardo-Nirenberg interpolation inequality for arbitrary rearrangement-invariant Banach function spaces.
