Nonsmooth Pseudodifferential Operators and Applications
Abstract:
Pseudodifferential operators are natural generalizations of differential operators and arise in many kind of applications, e.g. in stochastic analysis, discussion of boundary value problems or in functional calculus for differential operators. We will give a brief introduction to pseudodifferential operators in the case of smooth and nonsmooth coefficients. The later case important for applications to (nonlinear) PDEs, but a lot of classical results for smooth coefficients are no longer true and have to be adapted suitably. We will discuss these extension and applications e.g. to the Stokes system in nonsmooth domains and boundary value problems for nonlocal operators.
