When Number Theory Touches PDEs Nice Things Happen
In the talk I will provide two applications of number theoretical insights for PDEs. The first application concerns stability results for a model problem in the context of infinite-dimensional port-Hamiltonian systems. In the second application number theory helps to identify certain divergence form equations with sign-changing conductivities as well-posed.
